A day in San Francisco

Catching up on a rather large backlog of photos shot over the past year .... In July 2008 I moved across the country to a beautiful area just south of San Francisco. Cover shot

Just got the news that one of my stock photos will be the cover photo for a new travel guide from Avalon Travel Publishing: Moon North Carolina, 3rd edition, by Sarah Bryan, to be published in November 2008. Run for your lives!

No, it's not the set of a Steven Spielberg movie -- it's the dinosaur exhibit at the Boston Museum of Science. This scary Tyrannosaurus rex is a life-size model based on the remains of 30 T. rex fossils and skeletons that have been found over the years. It's pretty darn realistic! And BIG.

Wet weather

Here in the Northeast, we've been "enjoying" a spate of thunderstorms and rain -- much more than is usual at this time of year, to my recollection. As a result, everything has certainly greened up in a hurry; seems like just a few weeks ago the winter refused to end.

Just thought I'd share a favorite weathery shot from our very green side lawn of spiderywebbed clothespins dripping with raindrops after a storm.
